Is 2020 going to plan? If not read this
Did you start 2020 thinking this would be the year that…?
Somehow 2020 sounds important, a new decade a new start but if you’re like me it can be easy to get knocked off your plan.
We have been away on an exciting trip to the Amazon and Caribbean and early on in the trip we did our goals and made some plans. One of my key ones was to gt fit so I went to the gym and did interval training, did stretches each day and generally began to feel better. Then raw fruit struck! We went on a trip on the Amazon which included lunch, to begin with I was careful and only ate the hot stuff, but then I succumbed to the temptation of all the lovely fruit and had some even though it clearly had been sitting around uncovered for sometime.
Next day my digestive system told me I had made a mistake and it continued over the next few days until I found out about eating rice and boiled potatoes which cured me almost instantly.
So while this happened I stopped my exercising and stretching and then after a few days I started to tighten up and even got back ache I think because I had been stretching and had stopped. Then we got into the Atlantic and it was too rough for the cross trainer…
You guessed it I have still not got back to those early days of exercise but I did restart the stretching and began to feel better. I know that all is not lost it is temporary and I will be fitter at the end of the year so if you have a similar story refocus, start again, maybe change your plan slightly and get going towards that goal.
