Why every bit of promotion needs a call to action to work
Probably fortunately most people aren’t mind readers so when they see or hear a piece of promotion from you, you need to tell them what to do.
In marketing speak this is known as a call to action. So first you need to be clear about what your goal is for the promotion or advert you are doing.
Do you want people to call you, buy something, register for a webinar, download a freebie so you get their data, keep the information for a rainy day?
Then you need to add the words to make this happen and a prompt to make them act which often is something like FREE, NOW, or act to get the offer before it ends on June 1st.
Also you need to make it easy, just think about the Amazon One-Click button. Unfortunately if it is not easy to do, takes too many steps or some working out, then you will lose everyone except the most determined.
